Medical Content Manager (starting October 2018)

As PAN’s Medical Content Manager you will be responsible for our scientific output. As the head of our research team, you will lay the scientific groundwork for the content of our educational materials and tools. You will also develop and coordinate our future research projects, work together with partner universities and represent our organization at medical and nutrition conferences as well as conduct self-organized workshops.


The Medical Content Manager works closely with and reports to the Medical Director to ensure that the scientific foundation of our work is consistent and solid across all of our international projects.

She or he will be employed in the Department for Clinical Naturopathy at the Institute for Social Medicine, Epidemiology and Health Economics of University Hospital Charité, Berlin.



  • Compiling and managing a database that incorporates the most important
    and reputable health and nutrition-related studies
  • Creating articles, fact sheets, graphics, and videos to communicate
    findings based on existing nutritional and medical research
  • Creating “Nutrition Programmes” in cooperation with Medical Director
  • Planning and developing effective tools to facilitate healthy dietary change
  • Planning and executing meta-analysis and peer reviews
  • Coordinating scientific exchange with partner universities and research institutes
  • Managing research team and volunteers in various projects
  • Managing of sector “Training for Professionals & Student”
    (i.e. planning, conducting and evaluating workshops)
  • Planning and executing meta-analysis and peer reviews
  • Recording, monitoring and reporting progress to Medical Director
  • Other project-related work



  • Master’s degree or PhD in nutritional science
  • Strong research background
  • Expertise in the field of medical nutrition interventions
  • Strong commitment to our values and mission
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including ability to gather and analyze
    a variety of information and develop appropriate recommendations for action
  • Excellent leadership, team and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent spoken and written German and English
  • Ability to work remotely under minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work as part of a global, remote team
  • Ability to work 20-40 hours/week, working flexible hours (e.g. conferences on weekends etc.)
  • Living in Berlin
  • Willingness to create a Google account
